GA ClientID bridged anonymous website visits to identified Salesforce leads

1 blueprint
A living master implementation guide, standardized across the brand portfolio
Challenge
A-Star Education runs a portfolio of education brands, including Summer Discovery and Collegewise, with marketing spend rising across all of them and no standardized way to measure return. Data was fragmented brand by brand, reporting leaned on pageviews, and there was no line of sight from a web visit to an enrolment.
Solution
We built the group a measurement spine instead of another report.
The foundation is a master Google Analytics implementation framework: a living implementation guide, standardized but customizable, deployable across the whole portfolio. Piloting on Summer Discovery, the technical remediation started with an honest audit, which found duplicate pageview tags inflating the numbers, and continued with a fresh GTM container carrying custom event tracking for the interactions that matter: campus interactions, outbound links, social, video engagement.
Then the bridge. Cross-domain tracking connected the main website to the Salesforce-hosted application pages, with the GA ClientID captured as the common key between anonymous web visits and identified CRM leads. Goals were mapped to the pipeline itself: lead, prospect, quality lead, enrolment.
The last deliverable was people, not tags: a US stakeholder workshop and a six-hour technical GA training program for global teams, plus the implementation manual that keeps the framework alive without us. A-Star can now attribute enrolments to specific campaigns and allocate budget on revenue potential instead of traffic volume.
